It is well known that Yash Chopra and his wife love their daughter in law Payal Chopra, wife of Aditya Chopra [Adi’s marriage with Payal was a love affair as she was his high school girl friend]. Aditya who has contemplated the fact of having divorce with Payal has been said not to do so by Yash Chopra many times but he filed for a divorce in April 2009.
As everyone knows the matter finally boiled out to Rani’s proximity with Aditya Chopra. Well, it seems that this act of Rani has been not taken well by Yashji and the results are evident now as Rani who acted in Veer-Zaara, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Hum Tum Bunty aur Babli, Ta Ra Rum Pum and Dil Bole Hadippa under Yashraj banner has not been offered a film since Dil Bole Hadippa.
So Rani’s career took a down slide for a year with no films from Yashraj. But she bounced back with No One Killed Jessica which was outside from Yrf films. As of now the lady has no Yrf f ilms to her credit though she has signed two films which too are from outside banners; one with Aamir Khan and another with Prithviraj.
Well, what can we say apart from saying that relationships come at a cost.
