It was Bhandarkar’s two year dream to start this project after rejection from Kareena Kapoor. Now, he decided to shelve the film having known the news of Aish being carrying the baby.

‘The entire event would not have taken place if at the beginning the actress had informed of an impending maternity. The truth was hidden from us. We learnt about it from news channels like the rest of the world. Filmmaking functions on faith and trust.  I salute every woman who chooses to work in this delicate state but I would never knowingly put them in harm way knowing the delicate nature of her health,’ answered Madhur Bhandarkar breaking the silence.

Aamir Khan Appointed WCD B-A

The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development on Monday announced that popular actor aamir khan has been appointed as its Brand Ambassador to spread the message of curbing malnutrition among children.

The announcement came after aamir khan held a meeting with the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Women and Child Development Krishna Tirath and officials of the WCD ministry in New Delhi on Monday, along with his creative team led by Prasoon Joshi.

The actor gave a presentation on his concept how he plans to spearhead the campaign on arousing consciousness among people about ill effects of malnutrition and prevent children from trap of malnutrition.

Ms Krishna Tirath expressed happiness that the actor is ready to shoulder this social responsibility without expecting anything in return.

She thanked aamir khan for sharing the Government’s concern for children and making this sincere effort in spreading the social message about the scourge of malnutrition and good food habits among children and mothers.

Women and Child Development Secretary DK Sikri also thanked aamir khan and his creative team for contributing in social causes and social development of the country and the children in particular.

Apparently it is said the star has declared his dictate to the film-makers of the sequel that he wants Zarine Khan and Kangna Ranaut to lead the anticipated sequel instead of the original female cast that had Lara Dutta, Esha Deol and Celina Jaitley.

Now it remains to be seen whether the filmmakers oblige to Salman’s dictate or not! The film will be directed by Anees Bazmee and will be produced by Boney Kapoor.

RGV’s ‘Abusive’ Praises For Amitabh Bachchan

Ram Gopal Verma does the most unconventional things and reacts in the most uncommon way to the latest on goings. Off late his recent weapon to attack his industry mates has been the social networking site ‘Twitter’. The film-maker recently tweeted his response to Amitabh Bachchan’s latest release ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’. The world has been showering the Bachchan family with flattering praises over Big B’s latest feat and Ramu in his signature style did the same act in the most outrageous way. He tweeted, "Just saw some scenes of Bbhuddah and I am f****g super angry with the f****g angry man for not doing more films like this all these f****g years". Well he might have intended to compliment Big B for his marvelous job but it was misread by his zillion fans. Few moments after he tweeted this the media was flooded with negative reports attacking RGV. He too realized that he crossed the line this time and later posted a rather subtle compliment with his justification, he wrote "For the people who took offence to my language I am rephrasing my compliment...Bbhuddah is a very nice film and Amitji has acted very well".

It’s A Wrap For Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor Bollywood’s prime chocolate boy has finally completed his ambitious film ‘Mausam’ directed by his dad Pankaj Kapoor. The film ‘Mausam’ has gone through a lot of highs and lows throughout the shooting. Sometimes due to the shuffled schedules or sometimes due to Sonam’s ill health, it kept getting delayed. Shahid was compelled by his father-director Pankaj to dedicate himself thoroughly for this film. He had instructed Shahid not to shoot for any other film simultaneously. Shahid being the dedicated actor and obedient son that he is, obliged to the given instructions and gave his two years to one film. But finally he wrapped up the shooting of this film and declared it that his work in the film is now done.

The film that however completed the shooting combating every hassle is now currently going through the release puzzle as the film-makers have yet not finalized a date for the film’s release. Nevertheless it is tentatively supposed to release on 16th September 2011.

Amitabh Bachchan And Abhishek Bachchan To Share Screen In

Abhishek Bachchan is a proud son and it shows! Carrying on the Bachchan legacy Abhishek is all gung-ho about his next film that will yet again bring together the father-son duo Amitabh and Abhishek together on-screen. Abhishek recently declared that after ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’ their home production ‘AB Corp’ will produce this film. The story of the film is based on a father-son story, like ‘Paa’ but apart from that common string there’s nothing more to compare. Abhishek says the last time Big B and he shared the screen in a commercial comic caper was ‘Bunty aur Babli’ post which he worked in many off-beat films with him liked ‘Sarkar’, ‘Sarkar Raj’ and ‘Paa’. He now wanted to do a fun film and hence zeroed on the talked about project. Abhishek claims that this one will be a full on commercial entertainer. According to Abhishek, he doesn’t want people to be wiping off their tears while watching the film instead he wants to make them smile and laugh.

The ‘yet-untitled-film’ will go on floors next year i.e. 2012.

Sonam Kapoor Misses An Opportunity

Sonam Kapoor seems like going through a really bad phase of her health. Off late there have been reports of the pretty actress falling ill quite often and her ill-health recently was also the reason of her missing a lucrative opportunity. Recently New Zealand’s Prime Minister John Key visited the sets of her upcoming film ‘Players’ but Sonam could not be present on the sets citing her health issues.

Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Players’ has been extensively shot in New Zealand and the makers have formed a special bond with the PM. The cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu et al had a chance to share pleasantries with the PM and interact with him but unfortunately Sonam missed the opportunity.
