Super Star RajiniKanth To Be Shifted To London

From outside, it looks all izz well for Super Star rajinikanth as he is shifted from ICU to private ward at Sri Rama Chandra Hospital. Yet there are enough inner reports to substantiate that Rajini is still sick and he will be moving to either London or Singapore but not to US of America for further treatment. This news has surfaced on the day of his shifting from ICU but a latest photo of rajinikanth with his doctor was released to the media yesterday that aggravated the doubts of Fans.

Dhanush’s father and close relatives of Rajini infer that, Super Star’s health has improved a lot but not completely aware of their plans to go abroad. While Tamil sources quote that visa processing work is already on and rajinikanth might be going to any of the above said destinations without making any buzz. Wish that he will recover soon.

After Super Star Rajini, Now it's Kamal Hasan!

Well, everybody knew the reason why Rajinikanth is lying in hospital with ill health. It is toning up of his body for ‘Rana’ which required him to go through physical pain at this age of 61. Rajinikanth is known top have gone for a strict diet and exercises to reduce his weight for a younger look in this film which affected the body balance. Result is now seen.

Here comes one more hero following Rajini is kamal hasan and the film is ‘Vishwa Roopam.’ Director Selva Raghavan said that, ‘Vishwa Roopam’ is going to be a racy thriller that will send chills down the audience spine. Coming to Kamal’s look, it is the USP for film. Actor will be sporting a slim and trim physique with decreased weight with a grace that is ever captured. Even they say, Kamal too has spent too much of time on physical fitness for this character. Well, this is great to see aged heroes putting their 100% effort for the sake of characterization. Mrs. Rajinikanth Comes Out With Clarity

Mrs. latha, wife of Rajinikanth and Dhanush, son-in-law to Rajinikant met the press today that is 20th May 2011 to give clarifications on rumors spreading over Super Star’s health. This is first time that they came before media after Rajnikanth getting shifted to Intensive Care Unit on Wednesday.

They met journalists at Sri Rama Chandra Hospital and gave details about the treatment protocol being followed to bring actor back to health. ‘He is doing well. The basic problem was an infection that created imbalance which started with in the stomach. Then there is also a respiratory infection.’ On the other side, Dhanush thanked Rajini Fans for conducting prayers and urged them not to panic on rumors being floated on Super Star’s health.

Tamil Nadu CM, Jayalalitha has also enquired about Rajini’s health. She wanted to know the course of treatment followed to Rajini and asked latha on how is he responding? She then prayed for Rajini’s speedy recovery. Well, latha felt that Rajini’s next film ‘Rana’ is not at all on their priority list for now.

58th National Film Awards Announced

The 58th national film awards for the year 2010 were announced at a press conference in New Delhi today. While Telugu film ‘Advaitam’ won the Best Educational Film Award, it is ‘Dabangg’ got the Wholesome Entertainment. Tamil and Malayalam films won major awards.

Super Star Wishes to Super Star

The friendship between Indian Super Star Amitabh Bachchan and South Super Star rajinikanth is very much known to their Fans. They always admire each other and have been a part of industry from so long time. The moment Amitabh was informed about the ill health of Rajini, he was very much concerned to know about his friend’s updates.

Amitabh Bachchan wished rajinikanth for a speedy recovery through a social networking site. Bachchan informed his Fans saying ‘Rajnikanth is improving gradually,’ The Hindi cinema superstar also revealed that he received an SMS from his Tamil counterpart about his health and added saying ‘we hope and pray that he recovers as soon as possible.’

Super Star Rajini's Wife Says Nothing to Worry

Popular film actor Rajinikanth’s wife Latha Rajnikanth on Thursday while maintaining that there was no cause for worry, appealed to his fans to give the superstar’s family some privacy and desist from speculating on his health, even as he was shifted to an Intensive Care Unit of a Chennai hospital.

Latha Rajnikanth told a horde of media persons outside the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai that there was no cause of worry due to the superstar’s health and Rajinikanth was fine and responding well to the treatment being given to him. She also added that the popular actor was “shifted from a private room to the ICU because it is a sterile place.” The actor’s wife added that he was being given complete medical attention for his infection. “We are taking good care of him and there is no cause for worry,” she said. “Please treat him like you would treat any other human being. He is a normal human being. Please do not speculate about his health and give our family some privacy,” Latha urged.

Latha’s appeal came after rumours that the 61-year-old actor was put on dialysis started making rounds, sending his legions of fans in frenzy. However, Chairman and Director of the Shri Ramachandra Medical Centre S Thanikachalam denied that there is any truth to these rumours.

He said that, “a gastro-intestinal infection has led to gastric and respiratory problem. He has been put under observation and to monitor his breathing problem. Apart from this, Rajinikanth is cheerful. He is eating normally and had two idlis and a wada today. He is also cracking jokes.” Dr Thanikachalam added that the superstar has also spoken to his family. The hospital director further added that, "A team of expert doctors are looking after. Rajinikanth is a hale and healthy man.”

The superstar was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre on May 13. He was earlier admitted to hospital on April 29, the first day of shoot of his new film 'Rana' and then, on May 4. Earlier, the doctors had removed some fluid from his chest which was creating difficulties in his breathing. Meanwhile, his fans have been organizing special prayers for his health, even as his fellow actors and friends have been wishing him a speedy recovery.

Super Star Rajinikanth Worried About Daughters

This is one of the shocking news reported by a Tamil media source with information from Rajiniknath Fans clubs in Chennai. Though can’t be confirmed news but some reports claim that Rajini called both his son-in-laws, Dhanush and Ashwin to hospital bed two days ago to discuss the secrets about sharing of property between daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya.

What is the main intention behind rajinikanth in sensing this idea is still not known? Both the son-in-laws were heard to have shocked hearing on sharing of property at this juncture when Rajini is going through severe health problems. Dhanush reportedly told Rajini to feel confident and not to worry on these things at this point of time. Inner sources say that, marriage of Soundarya with Ashwin was the moment from which Rajini started undergoing mental and physical stress.

Ajith To Work With Murugadoss And S J Surya

The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that Ultimate Star Ajith has listened to stories from flmmakers A R Murugadoss and S J SUryah, who delivered the hits Dheena and Vaali respectively with him.

Murugadoss has reportedly narrated an one-liner to Ajith and impressed actor has principally agreed to do it  after Billa 2. It may be recalled that Mrugadoss rendered the biggest hit Dheena in which Ajith was first referred as 'Thala'.

Murugadoss is currently directing Suriya for 7Am Arivu while Ajith is working in Mankatha and then go ahead to complete Billa 2.

No To Hollywod: Sneha

'I rejected a Hollywood offer though. I was offered a hefty remuneration just because they wanted to me to appear glamorous in skipy costumes, says Sneha.

Says the actress, who shot to fame playing de-glamourised roles, 'there is no iota of truth that I am part of a film that will feature me in bikini act and a liplock sequence'.

Sneha says, ' I love to choose movies my own way. I am hopping to Hindi with a movie titled My dad in which I play Nasseruddin Shah's wife. It is one of the best roles that I have ever played'.

In Telugu, she is paired with Nagarjuna for a period film titled Rajanna.

Jayam Ravi Admires Hansika

Hanshika Motwani, the look alike of Kushboo, is just- two-films-old. But has earned enough name and fame and is look set to play a long innings in Tamil cinema.

Hanshika made her debut in Mapillai opposite Dhanush directed by Suraj. She followed it up with Engeyum Kadhal alongside Jayam Ravi,  directed by Prabhudeva.

Jayam Ravi, stated that it was great fun to work with her during the shooting of Engeyum Kadhal. She is energetic and bubly'.

Echoining the same, Dhanush said, ' working with hanshika was great. She is co-operative and gives right emotions. She does give her best'.

Hanshika is currently acting opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin in Red Giant Movies' Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK) directed by Rajesh. She has completed shoting for Velayudham in which she is paired with Vijay.

Thousands of Rajinikanth fans contiued to pray for the speedy recovery of their superstar Rajinikanth, who is admitted in the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai for respiratory and gastro-intestinal problems

They made special poojas and organised mass feedings at many temples for their favourite star to get well soon.

Meanwhile, hospital sources said that all the vital medical parameters of actor Rajinikanth are stable. Reportedly, the actor underwent a minor chest procedure on Monday and the doctors have removed the excess fluid that had accumulated in his lungs.

Harris And Selva to Come Together

Director Selvaraghavan, who had a split with Yuvan Shankar Raja and worked with GV Prakash for Ayirathil Oruvana and Irandam Ulgan, is all set to join hands with Harris Jeyaraj.

Harris Jayaraj has tweeted in his microblogging page . 'I am starting my next Telugu film by August with Allu Arjun and Shruti on the lead for which Selvaragavan does the direction'.

While Selvaraghavan is currently busy with ‘Irandam Ulagam’ starring Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay in lead roles, Harris is scoring music for a host of films, including Nanban, 7am Arivu and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.

Young Hero Bharath to Act in "Aravan"

Close on the heels of doing a multi-starrer in Vaanam with Silambarasan, actor Bharath will be seen doing a similar venture Aravan starring Aadhi. The movie is directed by Vasanthabalan, who had made Veyyil starring Bharath before.

Meanwhile, the actor has completed shooting for Thiruttani, directed by Perarasu and also his other movie Yuvan Yuvathi. He has started working for 555, directed by Poo fame Sasi. 'Sasi has come up with a wonderfully etched script that is sure to be well received, Bharath says.

On doing films like Vaanam and Aravan, Bharath says, 'I have no regrets doing multi-starrers. If I get a meaty role, I am ready, he adds.

Super Star Rajinikanth Again Shifted To ICU

Dr. Tanikachalam & his team looking after the treatment of rajinikanth in Sri Ramachandra Hospital admitted that Super Star is shifted to ICU yesterday night again. Rajini had already undergone two minor surgeries for removal of duodenal ulcers and lung fibrosis. Yesterday night Rajiniknath has complained of problems in breathing. Hurried up doctors shifted him to ICU but situation now is nothing serious.

Sources from Sri Ramachandra say that functioning of Rajini’s two kidneys is not satisfactory and high Blood Pressure problems also reported. That is the reason why he is undergoing frequent dialysis which is further increasing the fatigue. Instead these chronic problems are creating more troubles. For time being he is stable and recovering well.

A.R.Rahman To Work With Yash Chopra

A R Rahman finally enters the famous YRF banner, one of the popular names in Bollywood. The Oscar-Grammy winner and veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra will be working together for the first time.



Speaking about his latest project, Chopra said, “Everyone knows that when I make a movie, Shahrukh Khan will be involved with it. He is like family to Yash Raj Films and I have always regarded him as one of my own. There will be two leading ladies in my film. Once Aditya gives me the final draft of the script, I will finalise the two girls who will be cast along with Shahrukh Khan.”


Speaking on his collaboration with Rahman, Chopra said, “I am starting work on the music of my untitled film with the very talented Rahman. Apart from the great honour that he has consistently brought to our country, he is also someone that has created some outstanding and memorable music, something which is very important and dear to me and my films.”


He added: “I am looking forward to creating some wonderful music combining Rahman's contemporary world music sensibilities and my old world sensibilities of lilting melodies.”


Rahman, while speaking about working with filmmaker for the first time said, “I am very excited to work with Yashji and I am humbled by his faith in me for his film. I have seen that Yashji always portrays music as the inevitable essence of love and divinity in his movies. I hope as a team we can bring tremendous joy to all.”

Hero Vijayakanth Thanks Vadivelu

During the election campaign, all eyes were on Vadivelu who launched a scathing attack on DMDK president Vijayakanth.


However after the counting, Vijayakanth's DMDK has tasted victory by winning 29 out of 41 seats it contested in the Assembly polls which meant Vadivelu go speechless.


Speaking to reporters at the DMDK headquarters in Koyambedu, Vijayakanth said, 'Annadurai once said 'long live criticisers'. This is my answer to those who attacked me during the election campaign.'


The actor-politician, who is now the Opposition leader in the Tamilnadu Assembly, added: 'Only because of such persons (Vadivelu) and their attacks, we have won so many seats. My thanks to them.'
