South Indian heart throb Siddharth Narayan rose to fame with his Bollywood debut ‘Rang de Basanti’ and was last seen in ‘Striker’. Though he just has two Hindi films under his belt, he is quite the darling of masses and is in the good-books of many top-notch industry people. One of such is David Dhawan who recently signed the dark-handsome actor for his next venture that is the remake of ‘Chashme Buddoor’. He has signed him to get in the shoes of Ravi Baswani who played an impeccable character in the original. David says that Ravi’s role in the film is very close to his heart as Ravi was not only a colleague but his friend as well. And hence he wanted someone reliable to play the part of Ravi Baswani’s character in the remake of ‘Chashme Buddoor’. Hence he roped in Siddharth for his ambitious film.
