Commercial entertainer ‘Dabangg’ winning the National Award in ‘Wholesome Entertainer’ category is inviting huge criticism in Bollywood circles. Years ago, National Awards were confined to boring art films but passage of time has brought an aura of change in the working methodologies. Now, one can suspect about the credibility and transparency in picking out winners yet hero of the film salman khan is dancing to the recognition.
‘The news about the honor is yet to sink in. We are thrilled by National recognition. Before getting any award, people had seen ‘Dabangg’ and liked it. That was the first award we got and now Government has also given us an award,’ said salman khan. On the other side, Bollywood critics are debating the choice in selecting ‘Dabangg’ which is to attract some kind of controversy in coming few weeks.
