Ever since mahesh babu was informed about Maniratnam’s project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is being called off, he is feeling the pain of loosing the best chance. Although Vijay was the lead hero in this project, it is just for sake of Mani that Mahesh accepted the offer. Now, the project has been called off due to financial and other constraints. Then on mahesh babu is gossiped to have continuously requesting the star director to provide another offer in any of his upcoming films.
Unfortunately Maniratnam seems to have become deaf in hearing these requests as Vijay is decided as hero in his new project that will be made with Rs.30 Crores budget. Mani is said to have doubted whether Vijay was willing to take on an action role on the same call sheets given for ‘Ponniyin Selvan.’
But, how can Vijay lose the chance. He immediately nodded in agreement and the film may go on sets very soon on the eve of Vijay’s birthday while mahesh babu is still pulling ‘Dookudu’ with unfulfilled dream of working with Maniratnam.
